Klemencic with world-class performance
On this beautiful April  day Blaza Klemencic from FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team curtly missed her first victory of the season at Bundesliga opener in Münsingen. In an exciting race, where world champion Irina Kalentieva had to give up injured after a crash, Elisabeth Brandau (GER) led the field until the fifth round. Then overall World Cup champion Lisi Osl (AUT) attacked the German and Blaza Klemencic was the only one being able to follow the favorite. At the finish only 9 seconds lacked the Slovenian to victory. After a strong performance Sabrina Enaux (FRA) and Adelheid Morath (GER) crossed the finish line as seventh and eighth. They defeated top riders such as the Czech Tereza Huříková . With three riders in the top eight the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team was the most successful team in the women's competition.

Markt to rank 10
After the strong performances in the preparation Karl Markt (AUT) from FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team also demonstrated his strength in Münsingen. Although Markt could not go with the top group, he managed to finish in the chasing group on 10th place with only a minute behind the winner. The fight for the podium was a real thriller. Defending champion Ralph Naf (SUI) led a group of five riders from the start and at the end of the second round. Olympic champion Julien Absalon (FRA) always stayed close behind and took the lead on lap five for the first time. In a heart-stopping final Näf won with one second ahead of Spain's Lejarreta and another second to Absalon.

Bad luck for Scheiber
Just before the elite the race in the U23 competition was run in Münsingen. The Austrian champion Simon Scheiber from FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team was part of the leading group up to the penultimate round, but then crashed so badly that he had to give up with a chain disruption. His Australian team-mate Paul van der Ploeg was a little tired from travel stress. Nevertheless, van der Ploeg at the end landed on 14th place just two minutes before the German U23 Champion Manfred Reis on 20th place. Markus Bauer (GER) won the race before Martin Fanger (SUI) and Jelmer Jubbega (NED).

Sports Chef Jörg Scheiderbauer was very satisfied with the performance of his team: "We have shown that we have a very strong team especially in the womens competition. Blaza is in a fantastic shape. I am optimistic that we are able to confirm these results at the first World Cup in Dalby Forest (UK) next weekend.”
