Trebon Sweeps Chicago ’Cross Races

Chicago, Illinois - After missing more than a month of racing due to a knee injury, Felt-sponsored cyclocross racer Ryan Trebon stormed back onto the circuit with a dominating double-win performance in Chicago over the New Year’s holiday weekend.

Trebon rode his Felt F1X to two commanding wins just a week before the USA Cycling Cyclocross Championships, which will be held January 7-8 in Madison, Wisconsin.

“I’m just happy to be back racing,” Trebon told after winning both races in Chicago. “I feel good for next weekend.”

The Chicago Cyclocross Cup New Year’s Resolution event featured cold temperatures, some snow, and a muddy course. Trebon opened the weekend with a commanding win over U.S. rival Jeremy Powers on Saturday, beating the Rapha-Focus rider by 1:42.

The next day's contest was closer, with Trebon and Powers separating themselves from the rest of the field early and battling it out to the finish. Trebon was again successful, however, as he outsprinted Powers in the final stretch to take the win by 2 seconds.
