Farrar finishes strong at Tour of Qatar

Qatar—Garmin-Transitions rider Tyler Farrar finished the week strong at the Tour of Qatar stage race, barely missing the victory with a second-place in Friday’s final stage from Al Wakra to Doha Cornich.
The American was competing in his first stage race of the year, a six-day race on the northern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. After an early breakaway, it came down to a bunch sprint at the end of the 123.5-kilometer Stage 6 on Friday. Farrar finished just behind the day’s winner, Italian Francesco Chicchi.
