What a weekend for FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC rider Thomas Litscher. Starting with his silver medal in the Eliminator Sprint on Friday he rode his best World Cup Elite race of his young career with a 10th place in Dalby Forest on Sunday!
Pickering, Great Britain – Felt Ötztal X-Bionic took first and second at the Dalby Worldcup Eliminator, with Paul Van der Ploeg defeating his teammate and defending champion Thomas Litscher in the finals.  The young Aussie was able to get a slight lead out of the gate in the final round, and stayed clear of Litscher for the victory.
The event, held in the North Yorkshire town of Pickering, featured 42 racers from which the fastest 32 qualified for the elimination rounds.  The course featured stairs and steep climbs that wound around the town’s center.  From the beginning of the event, Litscher looked like the man to beat.  The 22-year-old Swiss qualified with the fastest time and easily defeated his rivals in the first two rounds of elimination. Van der Ploeg also appeared strong early on, clearing his early rounds to secure a spot in the finals.
The fans at the German National race in Saalhausen cheered for a muddy and dirty Thomas Litscher when he crossed the finish line in third position. Changing weather conditions with rain, sun and even hail made it a hard race.
After winning the Sprint Race on Friday, the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC rider also made it to the podium in the Cross-Country race on Sunday.  A big party-weekend for Litscher: Two podium positions and his 22nd birthday on the same weekend.
Adelheid Morath is back, Van Der Ploeg lifts his bike up in the sky and over 100 team members take part in the team championship
Leisure Team and Worldcup riders lining up together – that’s the philosophy of the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team and that totally came true at the Worldclass Mountainbike Marathon Challenge in Offenburg where the first official Team Championships was held for everybody and where Worldcup riders Adelheid Morath and Paul Van Der Ploeg were unbeatable in their class.
Andi Böcherer, FELT-racextract Athlete from Freiburg, made his way to the Podium in the highly competitive Champions Race in Buschhütten. In 1:46:53 he finished 2nd. His rivals: No one else than a group of triathletes we know from the Top10 of the World Championships Hawaii: Faris Als Sultan, Lothar Leder, Timo Bracht, Dirk Bockel and Sebastian Kienle are only some of the starting athletes that regularly end up on the podium in international Championships. Only one of them was of strong enough to beat the young Andi Böcherer on Sunday in Buschhütten in the final 10 km run.
The team members of the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC World Cup Team went solo last weekend and did their best on different races across Europe. Wherever a rider with the big X on his chest appeared, they entered the podium. U23 silver medallist Thomas Litscher won the U23 category at the Racer Bikes Cup in Solothurn, Sabrina Enaux came in third at the French Cup in St. Brieuc and Charly Markt steps um the podium in spite of two unintended stops in Graz.

Tough climbs and daredevil downhills were the perfect ground for the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC World Cup riders at the Ötztaler Mountainbikefestival on the 1st of May. Four riders stepped up the podium – that’s not only a declaration of strength but also great advertising for one the worlds most beautiful Mountainbike Areas: The Ötztal.
