Manfred Reis has recovered from his complaints of the previous weekend. After severe abdominal pain he had to pull out off the race at the World Cup at Houffalize (BEL) last Sunday. The reigning German U23 champion landed on second place at Rothaus Bike Marathon at Singen. On the 47 km long course the 19-year-old Reis finished 43 seconds behind the winner Matthias Pfrommer from Calw. Reis took part in this race primarily for training purposes, however was a little disappointed about his second place: "Today I feel as the first loser, but the next few weeks are important."
Allrounder Anna Scheiderbauer left her bike in the garage last weekend. At the Offenburg half marathon the triathlon specialist showed her strength in running. After 1:27:58 hours she crossed the finish line and landed as third on the podium behind Heide Merkel and Verena Utz. " I am very satisfied with my time. The two other ladies have been a little faster today," said Scheiderbauer, who is currently preparing for the Ironman in Frankfurt on July 4th with her husband Jörg. www.felt-oetztal-xbionic.com
