The team members of the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC World Cup Team went solo last weekend and did their best on different races across Europe. Wherever a rider with the big X on his chest appeared, they entered the podium. U23 silver medallist Thomas Litscher won the U23 category at the Racer Bikes Cup in Solothurn, Sabrina Enaux came in third at the French Cup in St. Brieuc and Charly Markt steps um the podium in spite of two unintended stops in Graz.
Litscher wins U23 category in Solothurn
With hard work, U23 silver medallist Thomas Litscher won the U23 category at the Racers Bikes Cup in Solothurn. But that was not an easy one! Mainly the course was a “problem” for Litscher: With more than 50 % paved roads, the course was too easy for the dedicated rider, who sometimes felt like being part of a road race. Only a few sections required courage, technical skills and the perfect control of the bike – characteristics that normally make the young Swiss rider as strong as he is. Nevertheless, Litschers showed that he can also win on different terrain!
Sabrina Enaux on the podium in St. Brieuc
Behind the unstoppable Julie Bresset, Sabrina Enaux showed she is on of the best French riders at the time. Motivated by her first win of the season, Enauxs second appearance at the French Cup was as successful as the first: 3rd place and again a podium for the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC World Cup Team.
Bad luck: Charly Markt had to stop twice during the race, but the fighter secures 5th position
Close to the Top3, but no luck in the end. After his first unintended Stop, Charly Markt fought his way back to the top but time was running out when he had to stop again. Austrian rider Charly Markt could not close the gap again like he did after his first stop in round 3 of 8. With a strong and powerful ride, the win was in reach, but in the end, the finish line came closer and closer and the great catch up of Markt was finally rewarded with the 5th position overall. Markts attitude has changed: In 2010, he would have been happy.
