World Champions prove too strong in Dalby Forest - Sabrina Enaux in 17th place

In light rain, the ladies had to ride the technically demanding World Cup course in Dalby Forest five times. The thrilling duel between Irina Kalentieva and the American Willow Koerber was finally decided by the Russian. Czech Katerina Nash finished as third. Sabrina Enaux (FRA) offered a strong performance and ended on rank 17. Adelheid Morath from Freiburg had to be content with her 48th rank. Blaza Klemencic had bad luck with a flat tire in third round when she was lying in place 15.
 
Schurter wins the final sprint, Markt on 53rd rank
Under the eyes of several thousand spectators in a thrilling finish world champion Nino Schurter won against double Olympic champion Julien Absalon (FRA). In the finish only one second separated the two athletes. South African Burry Stander was the third rider celebrating on the podium. After his strong 10th place last week in Münsingen, Karl Markt finished as 53rd in Dalby Forest. The under-23 riders Paul van der Ploeg (AUS, 76th), Simon Scheiber (AUT, 81st) and Manfred Reis (GER, 94th) had difficulties to overtake in such a large starting field.
 
Focus on Houffalize
There is not a lot of time until the next race for the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team. Already this coming Sunday (May 2nd ) the second World Cup of this young season will take place in Houffalize (BEL). In her current shape Blaza Klemencic again belongs to the favourites in Belgium. It`s now important to gather forces and concentrate on the upcoming race.
