Carey Wins Boulder Cyclocross #3

Amanda Carey of the
Kenda-Felt mountain bike team
won the third round of the
Boulder Cyclocross Series Sunday at Interlocken Park in Broomfield, Colorado.
Carey, who specializes in endurance off-road events throughout the summer months, topped a field of 28 women on her
Felt F1X ’cross bike, beating second-place finisher Alison Powers by 12 seconds.
Last month Carey wrapped up her
overall win at the
2011 National Ultra Endurance Series. She dominated the series of marathon XC events around the country, winning races in Tennessee, Arkansas, Michigan, Oregon, Wyoming and Utah. Carey also finished fourth at the 2011 USA Cycling Marathon National Championships.
