FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team dominate the Worldclass Mountainbike Marathon Challenge 2011

Adelheid Morath is back, Van Der Ploeg lifts his bike up in the sky and over 100 team members take part in the team championship 
Leisure Team and Worldcup riders lining up together – that’s the philosophy of the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team and that totally came true at the Worldclass Mountainbike Marathon Challenge in Offenburg where the first official Team Championships was held for everybody and where Worldcup riders Adelheid Morath and Paul Van Der Ploeg were unbeatable in their class.
Olympian Adelheid Morath is back on track: First race after surgery raises hope to start at the World Cup in Offenburg
For Olympian Adelheid Morath, the WOMC 2011 was the first race of the season and an important one for her. After her surgery earlier this year, mandatory training break and hard rehab the race was a successful test. She won the 48 km race in 1:53.50,5 and was even more happy that she is getting closer to the elite level again. Morath is back and last medical checks will decide if she can return to the world cup circus in Offenburg on the 29th of May.
Van Der Ploeg dominates his rivals and celebrates with style
The young Australian, who lives and trains in Germany during the season, used the WOMC 2011 to prepare for the 2nd World Cup race in Dalby Forrest next weekend and easily won the 48 km race with a special celebration: 50 meters ahead of the finish line, Van Der Ploeg stopped, got off the bike and, walked across the finish line and lifted his FELT SIX into the Sky: A famous special thanks to his mechanic, his fans and bike manufacture FELT.
A winning streak for the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team
Natascha Binder from Düsseldorf came to Offenburg with a clear goal: The two time amateur world champion wanted to win 84 km amateur race and yes, she did it. No one was faster than her. Team mate and Marathon specialist Carolin Schiff won the 63 km race and completed a perfect weekend for the team.
FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team Championships
For the first time, the Challenge in Offenburg has integrated the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team Championships and there could not have been a better location. Over 100 members took part in this special ranking and raced with the orange white team jersey from X-BIONIC to find the best amateur among them: Sönke Wegner from Freiburg, who also made it to the Top10 in the overall amateur ranking, won the 84 km team category and is now officially called the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Teamchampion 2011.
