Bend, Oregon — A record number of racers and fans is gathering in Bend, Oregon, this weekend for the 2009 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships. More than 1,600 racers will compete in sub-freezing, and possibly snowy, conditions.

Felt will be there in full force with a display booth and support for Felt-sponsored racers including Felt-Holowesko Partners rider Danny Summerhill—who will be gunning for the Under-23 National Championship—and the Mafia Racing crew led by Jake Wells. Stop by to check out the 2010 Felt F15X—the same bike being raced by the pros.

To accommodate more than 30 categories, amateur racing started Thursday morning. The Felt crew in charge of manning the booth reports that keeping your beer cold won’t be an issue. It was about 5 degrees Thursday morning, with an icy, snow-covered course.

The Under-23 Men’s race takes place at 1 p.m., Saturday and the Women’s and Men’s Elite races will be held Sunday at 11:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. respectively. Stop by Felt and say hello!
