Belgium —  Recently crowned U.S. Under-23 National Cyclo-cross Champion Danny Summerhill continued his hot streak in Europe this weekend, winning Saturday’s U-23 category race at the Lichtervelde race in Belgium.

Summerhill, riding for Garmin-Felt, piloted his Felt F15X to third place overall, behind Kendric Van Grembergen and Paul Oldham to take the U-23 win.

The Coloradan is ramping up for the Cyclo-cross World Championships in the Czech Republic next month. Summerhill won the silver medal in the 2007 Junior World Cyclo-cross Championships in 2007, and will be aiming for the U-23 podium in January.
