Saturday, August 07, 2010
Denmark — Lightning struck twice for the Garmin-Transitions team on Saturday. After Dan Martin wrapped up his first ProTour win at the Tour of Poland stage race, Canadian Svein Tuft gave the team another major victory when he won the Stage 5 Time Trial at the Tour of Denmark.

Tuft, the current Canadian Time Trial Champion, rode his Felt DA to a narrow win over Australian Richie Porte. Tuft covered the 19.4-kilometer course in 23:20. He now sits second overall, 27 seconds behind Jakob Fuglsang of Denmark. The five-day race concludes on Sunday, with a 185-kilometer race from Hong to Rudersdal.
